These detect objects regardless of their nature (eg shape, color, surface structure, material). Since the fiber optic ends and end caps have small dimensions and the optical fibers are also flexible, object queries in hard-to-reach places can be elegantly solved. Optical fibers can be used without taking special preventive measures in areas with risk of explosion and in areas with electric and/or magnetic fields (high voltage installations, electric welding equipment), since their operation is not affected by it. The optical fibers are available in models to perform the function of barrier photocell or button.
